Synopsis

This book though aimed at the first year engineering course of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar is useful for the engineering students of all other universities. The book presents an illuminative and objective exploration of applications of principles of physics in engineering. The authors discuss all the concepts pertaining to engineering physics such as EM waves and dielectrics, magnetic materials and superconductivity, elements of crystallography, laser, fibre optics, special theory of relativity, quantum theory, and nanotechnology with the help of diagrams, derivation of formulae, solved and unsolved examples. About the Author

Anupam Deep Sharma, an M.Phil. from Alagappa University, is presently working as Assistant Professor in Applied Sciecne Department at Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute of Engineering and Technology, Padhiana, Jalandhar, Punjab. He is also pursuing Ph.D. from SLIET Longowal, Punjab. With 7 years of teaching and research experience, he is a life member of Punjab Sciecne Congress.
